Have you ever wondered about dinosaurs? Have you ever considered how they fit in with God's creation? Were the dinosaurs even on Noah's Ark? If not, why would God destroy them in the flood?
My realization about dinosaurs came at a time when I wasn't even considering these questions. I was reading the book of Revelation in my study of bible prophecy.
I came across a verse and it jumped off the page at me. I'd read this passage probably a dozen times and yet this was the first time the verse seemed to pose something UNUSUAL.
Let's take a look at the verses Revelation 6:7,8:
"When the Lamb opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth living creature say, “Come!” I looked, and there before me was a pale horse! Its rider was named Death, and Hades was following close behind him. They were given power over a fourth of the earth to kill by sword, famine and plague, and by the wild beasts of the earth."
Sword, famine, plague and "wild beasts"?!?!? Wild beasts?? Why had I glossed over this part of the passage so many times? I had to stop and think... how often are people killed by wild animals??
If we are talking bugs then maybe some disease could be transmitted that could cause so many deaths, but we are talking wild beasts. Rattle snakes can kill up to 50,000 people per year more than any other "beast" of the earth. However snakes actually fall into the category of "creeping thing" if you look up snake in the Greek.
Acts 10:12
Wherein were all manner of fourfooted beasts of the earth, and wild beasts, and creeping things, and fowls of the air.
In America more people are killed by farm animals than wild animals, so I find this passage to be pointing to something significant that it should be included as one of the 4 ways 1.75 billion people are going to die when the 4th seal is opened. This is huge!!!
So what could it mean?? At this point the possibility of genetically modified "beasts" came to my mind.
What if these wild beasts are in fact some sort of genetic engineering? And what kind of deadly wild beasts could kill so many people? That's when I thought of dinosaurs. Remember the movie Jurassic Park?
Did you know that the paleantologist in the movie who recreates the dinosaurs and opens the park to visitors is based on a real Paleontologist named Jack Horner who is really trying to recreate dinosaurs??
Scientists have talked about reviving extinct animals such as sabertooth tigers and wooley mammoths, but the most coveted of all would be... dinosaurs.
If scientists are playing god and messing around with mixing animals species to recreate a dinosaur the question must be asked has this been done before?
Going back to the very beginning
If we are truly in the last of the last days, on the brink or maybe even in the beginning of the "tribulation period" (What I mean by that is the opening of the first seal in Revelation 6) we have to look back to the days of Noah.
Why? Because the scripture clearly says that the last days will be like the days of Noah! We need to really look at Genesis chapter 6 to see what was going on.
Genesis 6:1-9:
And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them, 2 That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose.
(We know from the book of Job that "sons of God" clearly refer to angels. These are the fallen angels who left their first estate (according to the book of Jude).)
3 And the Lord said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years. 4 There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown.
(Offspring of the fallen angels and women produced giants. Some translations say Nephilim which is what the giants were called.)
5 And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.
(Why was there so much wickedness? This is more than general human wickedness which has always existed since the fall. We can address this later.)
6 And it repented the Lord that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart. 7 And the Lord said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man, and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air; for it repenteth me that I have made them.
(Why was it necessary to destory the animals and the plants? Animals can't sin, but as we will see, the fallen angels did not only corrupt mankind but all of creation including the animal kingdom! Why was God so grieved? All his creation was being destroyed and corrupted by wicked angels! They were so close to polluting everything God had to act to preserve His creation and prevent Satan's angels from destroying the seed of man so that the savior could never be born and could never crush the head of the serpant! AMAZING!)
8 But Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord. 9 These are the generations of Noah: Noah was a just man and PERFECT IN HIS GENERATIONS, and Noah walked with God. (caps added for emphasis)
(Noah was PERFECT IN HIS GENERATIONS because he had not been touched by the corruption of the angels! He and his family were pure and perfect humans in their genetic structure and lineage, they had not been corrupted by the seed of the fallen angels. In other words they were 100% human.)
Now if you believe the "Lines of Seth" interpretation of Genesis 6, my husband goes into more detail about both views and their history in this video.
Digging deeper
If we want to understand further context of what happened in the time of Noah and what exactly happened with the angels we need to find a credible source of history. The bible simply does not go into a lot of detail.
So lets jump to Jude to see if he can give us some direction.
Jude 5-7 and 14,15 makes some very insightful comments on the events we have been discussing:
5 Now I desire to remind you, though you know all things once for all, that the Lord, after saving a people out of the land of Egypt, subsequently destroyed those who did not believe. 6 And angels who did not keep their own domain, but abandoned their proper abode, He has kept in eternal bonds under darkness for the judgment of the great day, just as Sodom and Gomorrah and the cities around them, since they in the same way as these indulged in gross immorality and went after strange flesh, are exhibited as an example in undergoing the punishment of eternal fire.
(This is clearly referring to how angels left heaven and came down to earth and in the same way as Sodom and Gomorrah sinned (by committing sexual immorality in an unnatural way that God did not intend) the angels also sinned by indulging in "strange flesh" by taking women as wives and defiling them.)
14 It was also about these men that Enoch, in the seventh generation from Adam, prophesied, saying, “Behold, the Lord came with many thousands of His holy ones, 15 to execute judgment upon all, and to convict all the ungodly of all their ungodly deeds which they have done in an ungodly way, and of all the harsh things which ungodly sinners have spoken against Him.” 16 These are grumblers, finding fault, following after their own lusts; they speak arrogantly, flattering people for the sake of gaining an advantage.
(Enoch prophesied of the coming judgment upon both man and angels for their evil deeds.)
Let's examine verses 14-16 above:
- First of all remember that the bible is the inspired word of God. The bible declares that Enoch was a prophet.
- We know from the old testament that Enoch walked with God for 300 years (Genesis 5:22) and was taken up to heaven and did not die.
- The bible directly quotes from the first chapter of the book of Enoch.
- Enoch lived during the time when the fallen angels came down from heaven and corrupted the earth and he wrote about it.
- His book was universally accepted by the early church and jewish tradition and was considered reliable history.
- It was widely read, respected and accepted.
- Jesus knew the book of Enoch, the apostles knew the book of Enoch, and the early church fathers and disciples knew the book of Enoch.
Opening the pages of Enoch
It is from the book of Enoch that we learn exactly what happened with these fallen angels.
I'm going to summarize without giving specific references for the sake of brevity. This article is getting long!
We learn that the offspring from the women who had sex with the angels were altogether evil beings who were giant monsters on the earth.
We learn that the fallen angels (which we can also rightly refer to as demons) taught man all sorts of evil.
They taught man how to abort babies, how to make weapons of war, how to practice sorcery and witchcraft, how to make metals, how to build cities, how to make idols and do all sorts of evil to defy God.
They gave men the secrets of heaven and very advanced technology.
We learn that the angels started polluting the animals and tampering with the genetics to create hybrid creatures.
We know from geological findings that in the days before the flood the earth was much more capable of supporting giants and giant creatures. Fossils of very large animals and bugs have been found.. showing evidence of probable tampering going on with Gods creation.
My theory concerning dinosaurs
So again we are brought to question of dinosaurs... I don't think that were not included on Noahs Ark.
From my research I on my own came to the conclusion that dinosaurs were most likely beasts created by the fallen angels.
God had to destroy everything on the earth with a flood because the corruption was so great and things were so bad.
We read in Enoch about the giants eating man!
I mean think for a minute. Huge giants, T-Rex dinosaurs, other freaks of nature created by the angels, giant bugs and animal/human hybrids, angels teaching men the darkest secrets of demonology.
How could God NOT destroy the entire planet with a flood?!? You think He just did it because people were sinful? I don't think so!
How could God not be so grieved by what His creation had become? The offspring of the angels and the nephilim were not redeemable human beings, they were evil half demon half human creatures that could only be destroyed. They could not be saved by the blood of Jesus. They could only be wiped off the face of the earth, along with the freakish creatures the fallen angels created.
I would argue that anything that was not on Noah's ark was not part of God's original creation. I believe theres a reason the dinosaurs were wiped out in the flood and that they no longer exist today.
I believe that the attempts to revive the dinosaurs, re-engineer them and bring them back into life is a huge mistake and that if our days in the tribulation mirror the days of Noah there may be dinosaurs and other hybrid creatures that we know scientists are already toying with today.
Maybe they won't be as large as they were in the days of Noah because the earth was different back then and apparently larger life was more easily supported due to having a different atmosphere.
A T Rex dinosaur was about 40 feet tall, if they could engineer one a quarter of that size it would still be terrifying.
If you really look at the days of Noah the whole scenario is terrifying. Add the antichrist into the picture and targeting Christians especially.. not to mention hunger, pestilence, famine, high food prices, war, natural disasters and the earth tottering to and fro.
As if that wasn't enough throw in some strange wild beasts roaming the earth killing people... all of this before we have even finished the first 7 seals... thats not even getting into the trumpets and bowls of wrath.
I believe Christians will be taken out of this world at some point, probably after the 6th seal because Jesus says in Matthew 24 that the day of the Lord will come when the sun is darkened, the moon turns to blood and the stars fall from the sky which is a parallel passage with the sixth seal in Revelation chapter 6.
That means we will still be here when AT LEAST 1/4 of the earth perishes and a ton of crazy stuff happens. We are looking at complete chaos and the closest thing to hell on earth.
I believe we should be paying attention. Jesus told us to watch and pray that we might be able to escape what is coming. I think thats because you really don't want to be here!
I never really thought about wild beasts killing tons of people in the last days.
Bible prophecy tells us many things that are difficult to understand, thats why people have different views of interpretation.
After I came to this conclusion of what I think most likely happened I decided to look online and see if I was alone. Sure enough you can find articles and youtube videos where other people have thought the SAME thing.
The dinosaurs were probably not part of God's original creation but products of genetic tampering by the Nephilim. I believe why they weren't on the ark and aren't here today cause God destroyed them with the flood along with their fathers the Nephilim.
